Antti was hired to the business development team of Posio municipality in the beginning of 2020. In one meeting he mentioned in passing an idea to visit every hill of Posio within two years. “You dug yourself into a hole”, a friend of his said about the plan. Since 18th of January, he has skied to Kuoppavaara, Välivaara, Matalavaara and Soilunvaara hills. How many are there to go? Probably more than a hundred and hopefully less than a thousand. In Lapland there is a distinction between a forested hill and a fell. Forested hills are called “vaara” and hills reaching above the tree line are called “tunturi”. There are more than a few forested hills but not so many fells in Posio. Follow the endeavour from @posiolapland!
