The hill project continues! #posiohillsintwoyears. “I wanted to visit a hill on a rainy, gray day. The weather reminded me of winters in the Southern Finland. A winter day there is rarely as crisp and cold as here. There is no smell in the forest in freezing temperatures. I skied to Soukkavaara in rain and heavy slush. A few days later the snow was frozen and very slippery. It would have been easier to walk than ski to the top of the Lipeävaara. Despite the tricky skiing, it’s nice to know yet another hill by name in the landscape. The best views were this time at the Livojärvi lake’s Säikkä on the way back home. I still don’t know the number of hills in Posio. I’m interested in good guesses or an exact number!”
